Lobby of the Beach Club.
To be honest we are a die-hard Value Resort family. In our past 20 trips we have stayed at Moderate Resorts twice. We did not care for the Caribbean Beach Resort. Some people love this resort. For us, it did not work. We like being close to the big pool and food court. We were about 1/4 mile away from both of these when we were at Caribbean Beach. Also, there are no elevators in the buildings so if you have any sort of mobility issue you need to be on the first floor. When we made reservations we were unaware of this fact so carrying all the luggage in and out of the room was left to the rest of my family as I could not navigate the stairs carrying anything else other than myself.
We did stay at the Fort Wilderness Cabins and LOVED it! We will definitely be staying there again. You can read our review here. (Click for link).
But, for our regular stays we will always be a Value Resort family. That is until now. I may be rethinking things.
For the Disney Moms Social Media Conference 2015 we were hosted in the Yacht & Beach Club. My daughter and I were in the Beach Club. We had been here a few times for dinner at Cape May Cafe’ but never really explored the resort beyond the lobby and the restaurant.
We entered the lobby and were immediately greeted and shown to the Guest Relations desk where someone was waiting to help us check in. It was quick and easy which made me smile as we made the way to the elevator.
We were quite a ways from the lobby. The first day or so this was fine but the more I walked the worse my leg hurt. I finally ordered a scooter to use during my time at the parks and conference. It made things much better for me. The best thing was that this room was large enough to have plenty of room to park the scooter in. There was a small coffee/bar area to the left as you are looking at the door. Then there was a large closet across from the entrance to the vanity area and the washroom.
The room was simply appointed but tasteful. The beds were large and squishy. It took some getting used to for us to sleep but by the second night we were so tired we simply fell into bed.
I wished we had more time and better weather to spend on the balcony. It was between 95 and 100 the entire time we were there. It was so hot and humid and this Northern girl just could not get used to it. We loved looking out the window to the grounds to watch the day get started.
We loved that the pool was mostly empty mid-day and we could enjoy a leisurely swim break.
After our stay at the Beach Club we may just become a Deluxe Resort family.
Wow nice!

Although our home base is the Saratoga Springs Resort, we’ve stayed at the Beach Club Resort and found it to be a great experience, too. Glad you had fun!

This was actually a blogging conference that was deeply discounted or we wouldn’t have been there either!
