Well, if you have missed parts I and II of our adventures you can catch up here (click for links). We had been in Boston for 4 days and were now visiting family in Rhode Island. It was wonderful catching up with everyone that we haven’t seen since my mother-in-law died two and a half years ago. With over 40 people in attendance it was difficult trying to get to see everyone but we did our best. It was great for our kids because they know who their cousins are but first cousins alone range in age from 13 to 51. So, they call some of them aunts and uncles because of the huge differences in ages.
Our nephew, who works for a local seafood place – The Local Catch, was gracious enough to hold a clam boil and lobster boil for everyone. The Local Catch is a Community Supported Fishery (CSF) pretty much like a CSA. How I wish we lived closer to take part in that! They also sell at local Farm Markets too. I can tell you the seafood was amazing! Aren’t they beautiful?
My children ate probably 25-30 clams each, two lobsters and many scallops. Though I don’t eat clams I definitely had my fill of scallops and lobster.
The salads and appetizers were amazing too!
After lots of fun and laughter we promised to try to get together again before another two and half years goes by.

Sound like you had an amazing time! I’m in envy of all the lobster you had. I wish I could have it more but alas, I’d be a pauper after it all… a well fed pauper that is. Haha!! ❤ I'm glad I've found your blog! Looking forward to seeing what's coming up next for you!

Lobster is scarce here in the Midwest, especially fresh. My nephew was able to get it for a great price right from the docks.
