The best laid plans sometimes go awry. I got a call that my mother had been taken from her doctor’s office to the hospital in an ambulance. Of course I needed to drop everything and start rescheduling everything I could for the next week and cancelling everything else.
My daughter and I drove, which should have been a 12 hour drive over 24 hours, which turned into a 17 1/2 hour drive over 24 hours. We are tired but so happy to be here and make sure all is well.
My mother is the primary caregiver of my father. He has health and mobility issues. My brother lives in the area but sometimes you just have to check things out for yourself.
So, we are hoping my mother will get out of the hospital tomorrow or Saturday. I will stay a few days beyond to get things moving and let her rest. Hopefully, I will be back to regular posting this weekend.

Thank you so much! They are weaning her off IV meds and hoping that a pill form and adding a new medicine will help control her heart rate. It would race to 160-180 and then suddenly drop. Not good but they hope they have it under control now.

Oh wow… I hope the pill form works just as good as the IV… for her… dang that is a dangerous heart rate…and drop… well she is in a good place at the hospital where she is being watched…when she sleeps you try n rest too…plz…I know how hard it is to do that but you have to be healthy and take care of yourself so when your mom comes home you will have the energy to take it on…again I am so sorry to hear all this…I will keep you in prayers of course… if you need to talk I am here for you….

Thank you so much. We are actually in North Carolina. I had my parents move closer to my brother when we left New York. I needed them to be close to family if something like this happened.
