I have so much to say thank you to all of you for. Every year I set goals for my blog in how I want to do things and yes, even the dreaded numbers. Despite a computer crash in September and being only able to post using my phone and tablet I kept going. Lots of setbacks in photo quality and number of photos but I am trying to power through until I can purchase a new computer.
Despite all that was working against me I have to say thank you to each and every one who visited my blog, commented, or gave me a like. All the goals I set for myself this year were completed by November – except for my reach goal which will have to wait until I get a new computer.
My goals for 2018 are to continue to work on my photography the best that I can, increase number of views, and to post at least 6 days per week. I used to have a routine every morning and what used to take me 30 minutes to an hour to complete can now take me 2 to 3 hours typing on my phone. I am going to try to fix that in the coming year but for now will continue to do my best. More Instagram, Pinterest, and Facebook posts ahead.
Do you set goals for your blogging? What are they? Do you check your goals during the year? Maybe we can work on this together whatever our goals are.

Well done on hitting your targets, good luck with posting 6 times a week! X

Good luck on that! But don’t set yourself too much under pressure… which is my goal meanwhile!

No I would never set goals for blogging, it would make it a chore. As for statistics, they don’t mean a thing to me. I blog for me -Goodness I am shallow. 🙂

Congratulations on 2017 goals
My tower fatally crashed on my desk top
My lap top felt left out so it has stopped working – had it looked at – sadly it is also fatal
Looked at pros/cons of new desk top or an upscaled lap top
Went with the lap top
Can’t wait to work with it
New blog !
New lap top !
Look out 2018 !

Sounds amazing! We are looking to buy one today or tomorrow to put on this year’s taxes. Taking advantage while we still can!

Thanks. It is hard some days but since I blog about what we eat (and these kids want to eat every day!) I have good built in blogging ideas.

My biggest blogging goal this year was moving to self-hosting with SiteGround. I finally made the plunge and am working on revamping and updating my blog! I’m following you on bloglovin now since I don’t have a wordpress.com feed on my homepage anymore 🙂

Thank you! I will look for you there! Are you happy you moved? Been thinking of taking the leap but so afraid I’ll message everything up.

In terms of the look and feel of my blog I’m 100% over the moon happy. In terms of getting used to the admin portal through Site Ground to wordpress.org I’m still getting used to it. Site Ground merged my content over so I didn’t lose any content, media, posts or pages, but I lost updates such as my menu layout. It’s also a little confusing since I can still access my wordpress.com login and that’s the only place I can see the wordpress posts from the blogs I follow. Hopefully once i get used to the admin site I’ll be golden. In the meantime, I couldn’t be happier with how pretty my blog is now!

You’re doing great! I would have been so discouraged if I had to deal with a crash at any time. My goal is just to do a post whenever I can between writing and publishing books. And to try to visit as many of my blogger friend’s sites as often as I can.

Those are great goals! We do what we can. And you publish books!

I have to get a move on. Starting this whole book thing at 65 means I have to get into high gear. You youngsters have lots of time.
