I am away with my family while my son takes the ACT at a college about an hour from home. I wanted us all together today. My heart is heavy. As I watched the news last night I was crying again like 9-11. This is not the world I wanted for my children. So, today I am keeping my family close together to ease my heavy heart. Later today I will go home and bake. For some reason that is all I can think of to do. Hug my children and bake. Wherever you are and what ever you are doing today I hope you are surrounded by those you love.

Hi. How are you doing today? I think a lot of us are in agreement with you. It is getting harder to watch the news at times. You do what I do when I am stressed and that is to cook or bake. my family is together (maybe the winter storm coming is a blessing). I look forward to reading what you cook up today. Thank you. We are well today and the weather really has a double edge. Happy to get home and stay warm together but the lack of sunshine doesn’t help my spirits. I know brighter days are ahead. Thank you for your kindness in asking how we are.

Thank you for always posting such great recipes. Family is so important, so glad to hear you all are very close and there for each other in tough times. I haven’t watched the news yet, I try to stay off but now I will have to get online to see what is going on out there in the world. This post has me worried now. I now longer have cable, we do Roku, so I stream news clips now and then.
