Chocolate Crinkle Cookies

A few years ago these were all over Pinterest for Christmas cookies. I had never seen them before but everyone was talking about how their mom or they used to make these all the time. I didn’t try them.  I am like that. When something is popular I tend to go the other way. Maybe somewhere down the road I will try it but I am not going to read a book, see a movie, or make a recipe because everyone else is.

But, as we were looking for cookies to make this one popped up again and I thought it was time to finally make them.

Verdict:

These were okay. They were not overly sweet and were good for ice cream sandwiches.  I don’t think I would make them for a Christmas cookie but they were okay.

I preferred them in the ice cream sandwiches but they were pretty good if you don’t want an overly sweet cookie.

  3. LOL! When something is popular and all over the place I’m not interested either! 🙂 I want what was popular 50 yrs ago, or what’s not been invented yet.
However, I’m craving chocolate and these would go down really well just now!

  5. I think these would also work sandwiched with chocolate, Marci. It would create the same taste contrast as the ice-cream.
