Confession time. I still have my Christmas tree up. We decided in January we were going to leave it up all year. We love looking at the lights at night. We don’t light it every night but decided to decorate if for the holidays. I just ordered some green lights for St. Patrick’s Day. Which if you have been following me for a while you will know is second only to Christmas in our house. Yes, our last name is German but my in-laws are all Irish and I have become Irish by association.
But, things have been crazy so we are making it work. Every Spring it seems as if they schools try to cram more and more into the early Spring. With all the snow days, we have had 9 so far, plays and concerts are getting rescheduled because there just are not enough rehearsals to perform. It is making for crazy schedules.
That is why I love super simple meals such as this that can be on the table in about 35-45 minutes.
Verdict:
My family loved this dish! It was creamy and flavorful. It was delicious with a crusty Italian garlic bread for dipping.
This was so simple to make. If you don’t have bulk sausage you can remove the sausage from its casings. Break the sausage up as it cooks otherwise the pieces may be larger than you want. I set the sausage on to cook and walked away forgetting to break the sausage up so the pieces were a bit bigger than we like but it was still good.
I served this with a side salad and garlic bread.
An easy stew with tons of flavor. Ingredients: Directions:Italian Sausage Stew
Wow, nine snow days, we’ve only had three here. I love Italian sausage š

We are on the low end too! I heard some districts are at 18. The cold is what got everyone. We have many walkers to school and if it is too cold, be low -20, or the sidewalks aren’t clear there is no school.

I think we are done for this school year. I don’t believe we’ll get anything more severe ( I hope). I can understand with a lot of walkers.

I love using Italian sausage in stews. This looks great! And good for you for being bold and leaving your tree up. I did for several weeks but finally took it down. I miss it, glowing there all cheery and bright!

I bet. I love those porches where people leave Christmas lights up all year. So festive in the summer as well. Like a pool party with white lights all around. I have seen those lights you can put on table umbrellas. I may do that this year.

We had so many days with heavy and even heavier snowfall in January … I am done with winter for this season. Glad for the early spring that shows up recently!

I have my fingers crossed that we have had the worst of it. I think that we will have one maybe two more big storms and hopefully that will be it!
