We love fruit on warm evenings for desserts or dinner. Now that it is so hot and we are grilling anyways why not use some of the delicious fruit we have on hand and grill it for dinner. We had a perfectly ripe pineapple to use up so we decided to make Hawaiian Burgers with grilled pineapple on them.
Verdict:
My family thought I was crazy for doing this. They love grilled pineapple but when I mentioned it on a burger with barbecue sauce they gave me the side eye. Then I made it for them. They loved it! The pineapple was juicy and the barbecue sauce I chose was slightly spicy which made this perfect combination with the sharp cheddar cheese.
I served this with macaroni salad, beans, and corn on the cob.
A fun tasty way to amp up your burgers. Ingredients: Directions:Hawaiian Burgers

I love grilling and smoking all kinds of fruits and vegetables for meals. Both my girls love it (11 & 17). Next time try slicing a red onion and grilling it with the pineapple. 🙂
