Thanksgiving Leftovers?

The Thanksgiving Day leftovers are always the best part! I am always cooking extra of everything so that we can have another full meal, plus extra for making some new meals. The second or third day we are looking for ways to use up those last little bits (or in the case of Green Bean Casserole large amounts) of leftovers.

These are some of our favorites. The Thanksgiving Sliders (click here for link to recipe) are a delicious way to use rolls, turkey, cranberry sauce, and stuffing. I have been known to open another can of cranberry sauce just to make this dish.

Trisha Yearwood’s Creamy Turkey Casserole (click here for link to recipe) is a perennial hit in our house. This uses all our favorites baked up into one super yummy casserole. If you don’t have enough stuffing or mashed potatoes you can add instant packaged ingredients to make up the difference.

When all else fails a good Grilled Turkey Reuben (click here for link to recipe) saves the day! This uses up that last bits of turkey and doesn’t make you feel like you are eating turkey again.

Those sandwiches are a welcomed way to use leftovers. There are so many different main and side dishes which are great inspirations for creating new dishes from them.
