Top 5 Recipes for April 2020

For the first time in four months Ground Beef Enchilada Verde (click for link to original recipe) tops the list of the 5 most popular recipes on What’s for Dinner Moms? It is a simple recipe made with canned enchilada verde sauce that provides the semi-homemade dinners that can be a life saver on nights you really don’t want to cook. This can be made ahead and refrigerated or frozen (just leave off sauce and cheese) until you thaw the meal to bake.

Pork and apples are a delicious combination. Add in a bit of the sauerkraut and you have that perfect fall dish. This Slow Cooker Pork Chops with Sauerkraut and Apples (click for link to recipe) has been at the top spot for 5 months now and has slipped to number 2 this month. Simple to make this dish can be started around lunch time and be ready by dinner!

The Orange Cake with Orange Glaze (click for link to recipe) made its first appearance on this list last month and has moved up to the  third most popular spot for this month. This orange cake has a seriously orange flavor but is not overly sweet. Which is why it is one of my favorites.

The recipe for Classic Hellman’s Macaroni Salad (click for link to recipe) is from the old jars of Hellman’s Mayonnaise. Sometimes a tried and true classic recipe is just what you are looking for!

Shrimp Scampi Ravioli (click for link to recipe) is one of our favorite semi-homemade recipes for making an almost restaurant quality meal from a few frozen items and a few fresh items.  A frozen or refrigerated bag of cheese ravioli and a bag of frozen shrimp make a delicious dinner!
