Top 7 Recipes for November 2020

November 2020 seemed to be a time of comfort foods. Lots of slow cooker meals, casseroles, cakes, and breakfast for dinner meals. I think my family was not the only one seeking comfort foods that were also simple to make. These were the top 7 recipes for the month by visits on my blog. Enjoy!

Slow Cooker Pork Chops with Sauerkraut and Apples (click for link to recipe)

This super simple recipe is consistently at the top of my most viewed and pinned recipes. I recently remade this recipe and added a few suggestions such as to add an extra splash of vinegar if you family would like more flavor.

Trisha Yearwood’s Creamy Turkey Casserole (click for link to recipe)

Everyone had leftover turkey and sides this month. This Trisha Yearwood recipe for Creamy Turkey Casserole is delicious. I added our smashed potatoes (mashed potatoes with garlic, sour cream, butter, and Parmesan cheese to taste instead of cream and butter) instead of regular mashed potatoes and the flavor goes through the roof! Always one of our favorites to make with leftover turkey.

Ground Beef Enchilada Verde (click for link to recipe)

Another semi-homemade favorite (use a can of enchilada verde – green enchilada sauce) to make this dish. It is super simple to make and freezes well.

Orange Cake with Orange Glaze (click for link to recipe)

This cake is not super sweet. It has orange zest and orange juice in the cake which adds a ton of orange flavor to this cake. The simple orange syrup poured over the top makes it moist and creamy. Delicious!

Au Jus Roast Beef Hawaiian Sliders (click for link to recipe)

My family loves these little slider sandwiches for dinner. You can make this in endless combination of ingredients and with a side salad and some sliced veggies they make a quick simple meals. This is one of my kids favorites as the love roast beef. Use deli sliced roast beef unless you have some rare roast beef leftover. I have a daughter who doesn’t like onions so we leave those off a few rolls for her.

Breakfast Bowls with Sausage Gravy (click for link to recipe)

This is yummy! My son thinks this is his top breakfast for dinner meal. The sausage gravy is easy to make and can be kept for a few days if you want to make it ahead and thin it out before using. This is a fun dinner for breakfast because everyone can add what they like to it to make it perfect and no complaints!

Spare Rib Casserole (click for link to recipe)

This is my favorite from the list. Have that extra spare rib meat that you are looking for something to do with? This casserole combines all the best parts of a barbecue meal together in one dish. Barbecue sauce, mashed potatoes, cheddar cheese, and spare rib meat? YES! Perfect combination.

I think I’d like to make those port chops. And that orange cake sounds delicious too. Thanks for the links. 😁

Oops, pork! But you know what I meant. Hmm, maybe they would be nice with a dash of port! 😁

😁 The one think I don’t like is you cannot edit replies. I have fat fingers and make mistakes more than I care to admit!
