I had Italian Sausage in the freezer and needed a quick weeknight meal so it quickly became a pasta bake. The sausage was frozen so I sliced it to cook quicker. I threw in a pepper and onion near the end of when it was cooking to soften slightly. When the sausage was done cooking I drained off the fat and added a can (28 oz.) of crushed tomatoes, 2 tsp. minced garlic and 2 tsp. minced oregano. A dash of salt and pepper completed the sauce.
I cooked the pasta to al dente and stirred it into the sauce. Then I spread it into a sprayed 9×13 pan and topped with cheddar cheese and Parmesan cheese. I heated it in a 350 oven until the cheese melted.
My family thought it was pretty tasty for a quick throw together meal on a Tuesday night.
