I started out the year with the best intentions.  Then as sometimes happens life decided to get in the way.
We got married at the end of May which was expected.  What was not expected was the amount of preparation just prior to the ceremony and reception.  I thought I could get away with maybe a week of not blogging or cooking.  Almost three weeks passed before I could even think again.

Then the week prior to our getting married my partner was offered a job 600 miles away.  Eek!  So they wanted us to move in 6 weeks.  Fifteen years in a house with 2 children and numerous pets?  Not happening.  So we finished out the summer packing, cleaning and prepping the house to put on the market.  Two months of almost 85-90 degree days and high humidity with no air-conditioning except one small bedroom unit?  Again, lots of eating out and eating from bags.

Now we are settled, well almost, 600 miles away.  It has been three weeks that we have been here but already I am starting to get back to cooking and blogging some.

Things have changed a bit.  We now eat dinner out on Sunday nights.  I am trying to make it through the rest of the year with different meals but if life happens again I am going to try to make sure I get at least one new side dish in each meal to keep up with my theme.  Hope your still following along as I start-up my game again.
