So, I started first thing this morning making my Dining Reservations for our family trip to Walt Disney World. Now, we are not going on vacation for 180 days but I wanted to get a jump-start because some of the places we want to dine at will be entirely booked by the time we get ready to go on vacation.
Some people hate the loss of spontaneity that this process can cause but, I like the planning that I do for our family. To me it is fun. I am making Advanced Dining Reservations (ADRs) for 8 – my little family of 4 plus, my parents, brother and sister-in-law. When we travel together we don’t spend all our time together so the one meeting place for all of us are one or two meal times during the day.
During the meal the kids can talk about what they have already done and the rest of the family can decided whether they want to join us or not for the next part of the day. This is the one time I really love the My Magical Experience so that I can change their Fast Passes if needed. I make them all together for the hardest to get rides then I can change them for different ones if the rest of the family changes their minds.
So, right now I have made reservations for:
- O’Hana
- Crystal Palace
- Via Napoli- Italy
- Wishes Dessert Party
- Mama Melrose
- 1900 Park Fare – Breakfast
- Narcooses
- Hollywood and Vine – Breakfast
- Restaurant Marrakesh – Morocco
- Beirgarten – Germany
I am sure I will rearrange some of my choices or even fully change restaurants before we go but at least we have a starting point.
Are you an advanced planner or do you wait to see where the day takes you when thinking about your sit down meals at Walt Disney World?
