Rib & Half Chicken Combo – Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Cafe’
I admit it. I am a Disney planner. This is one of my most favorite parts of the trip. Planning the meals, the rides, the special events to go to, I love it all.
So, as the count down to our next vacation begins I am reviewing all the Fastpass reservations I just made for our trip. Since we are going at a slower time of year we really don’t need Fastpasses except for the big rides like Toy Story Mania, Splash Mountain and Kilimanjaro Safari. But, you still have to choose three Fastpasses each day even if you only want one or two or else the system will choose something like Captain EO for your third Fastpass.
I learned last year when we went to not worry about those pesky third Fastpasses because they were usually things we could see when we were in the area of the rides and not wasting time running back to get to them. I have tried to exchange the Fastpasses while in the park but by the time I go on My Disney Experience the ones that are left are for things you don’t really need a Fastpass for.
Of course planning for a large group makes this task a bit difficult because part of our group does not want to make Fastpass reservations and would rather wait and see. I have tried to tell them to make reservations for the things they really want to do, then wait and see on the rest but …. At least we are not spending all our time together so that we can all see what we want to see and not have to worry about a large group.
My family is also all about the food. Seriously. My son has been reading the menus of all the restaurants in Walt Disney World and debating with me our choices of Table Service and Counter Service restaurants.
What we have so far on our list are:
Epcot – Day 1
Mexico, Norway, China, Germany (we order one CS meal or combo and split it between the four of us so we can “Eat Our Way Around the World.”) The kids really love this and look forward to it each trip. We try to choose something a bit different each time so we can taste different things.

I would love to go to Tokyo Disney or Disneyland! But they are too far from Michigan! Maybe some day. 🙂
