When someone asks what my favorite time to go to Disney World is I always hesitate. I love the Food and Wine Festival or the Magic Kingdom at Christmas. I love the quite times in January/February with low crowds. But, my favorite time is when the entire park is in bloom. This year I was invited to the Disney Social Media Moms Conference 2015 in May. My daughter and I attended the breakfast for the last day of the conference, also Mother’s Day, and headed over to Epcot to view the beautiful topiaries for the Flower and Garden Festival in Epcot.
Right as we entered Epcot topiaries started with Goofy and Daisy greeting guests.
Donald was nearby over seeing the garden. There were tomatoes, chives, and all kinds of herbs in the garden.
Chip and Dale were at the end of the garden ready for mischief. It looked like they were ready to pick all of Donald’s goodies he was growing!
The giant butterflies near the fountain in Epcot were beautiful. Everything is lush and in bloom.
Phineas and Ferb were watching over the Gateway to the World Showcase.
Anna and Elsa held one of the places of honor at the entrance to the World Showcase. I was missing Olaf and wishing he were there with them.
As we arrived at the International Gateway the boat to Morocco was pulling in. My daughter and I decided on this 95 degree day to rest a bit in the shade and take the boat to Morocco. So, we missed part of the topiaries on the walk around World Showcase but it allowed us to keep going longer than we may have otherwise in the heat.
Lady and the Tramp were waiting in Italy to greet us. All they needed was a big bowl of spaghetti between them.
Miss Piggy sitting near the American Adventure. Anyone going to be watching the new Muppet Show?
Snow White and the Dwarfs were dancing through Germany.
Rafiki lifts Simba greeting us on our way into the Outpost.
Timon and Pumba were watching Rafiki and Simba near the lagoon of the Outpost.
On the other side of the Outpost a giant sand sculpture for Disney Nature Monkey Kingdom.
My daughter wanted to head to Test Track for a ride. While we were there we saw the Cars topiaries.
Mater!
While my daughter was riding Test Track I walked through the Desert Gardens.
By the time she rode Test Track twice we were tired and heading out of Epcot. It was an amazingly beautiful day and a wonderful way to spend Mother’s Day!

Love Epcot during the Flower and Garden Festival. Incredibly beautiful gardens and topiaries.

I remember all of these! I was at Epcot chaperoning a high school choir for a music festival. And it was super hot, too!
