It’s great that you don’t have a starter! Growing up my mom made this delicious bread every week!

It’s nice not to have to plan ahead and be able to make it on the spur of the moment!

Absolutely! I remember how disappointed she was when she got behind and lost her starter. It’s such a tasty bread! Looking forward to trying this one.

A break is great! Especially when I post 6 times a week, 5 in live time, around this time of year it just gets a bit crazy.

  3. Looks amazing, Marci! I first experienced this wonderful bread in Amish country back east! I love that yours requires no starter!

Thank you! It is nice to be able to just make the bread and not to have to plan ahead in making the starter. Or forgetting you have the starter and finding it a bag of goo a week later!

Usually it has a starter that you have to add to and mix for 7-10 days prior to baking. I can never remember to make the starter so this started as a similar bread.
