Grilled Peaches with Ice Cream

We had a nice grilled steak last night with some nice Community Share Agriculture (CSA) potatoes and green beans. I love my CSA!

I almost never serve dessert after dinner but we were looking for a quick sweet treat that I didn’t feel so awful about my kids having. While we were away there were tons of treats and greasy food so we are trying to get back on track.  I remembered that I had picked up some fairly ripe peaches so my family could have dessert!

Verdict:

The family loved this dish. It was super simple and everyone really loved the peach, brown sugar, and vanilla ice cream combination.

Grilled Peaches with Ice Cream

  • Servings: 4-8
  • Difficulty: easy
  • Print

Ingredients:

  • 4 peaches, very ripe, rinsed and dried
  • 4 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons butter, divided
  • 1+ tablespoon olive oil

Directions:

  1. Slice the peaches in half and carefully remove the pit.
  2. With tongs and a clean towel wipe the grates of your warmed grill with olive oil.
  3. Place peaches, cut side down, on grill. Allow to cook 3-4 minutes until nice grill marks appear. Tip: My grill was not hot enough so I didn’t get the good grill marks you are looking for.
  4. Turn peaches over. Add 1\2 teaspoon or so of butter to the top of each peach. Sprinkle grown sugar over top. Cover grill and cook for 3-4 minutes until butter has melted and brown sugar has melted.
  5. Serve hot with a scoop of ice cream, if desired.

  5. I loved peaches and I think this sounds delicious! There’s a recipe for a no churn ice cream with roasted peaches in it that you might like to try too. It’s not mine but my Aunt made it for me, I can’t eat anything other than ice cream because of my ALS, and it was so good! Let me know and I’ll look for the recipe for you. Love your site!

      1. Oh my goodness, once you see how easy it is to make ice cream without an ice cream maker you’re going to be imagining new flavours to make at home! That may just be me? I think I could start my own ice cream brand! Should I email you the link for the recipe?
