DAY 126: We spent the afternoon at the fairground yesterday eating fair food. It was fun. We had giant pretzels, warm chocolate chip cookies, hot fresh french fries, elephant ears, cotton candy, caramel apples, and steak tips. We were stuffed by the time we got home.
What was nice was there is a one way path through and you drive to each spot in order and you cannot pass other cars so you have to stay in line even if you don’t want an item at a stop. There were about 3 or 4 places we didn’t stop at to get something. It took about 45 minutes to go through the entire thing. Last time we did this it took about 3 hours. We think it was more fun with the line because it gave us more time in between each stop. We ended up bringing home lots of treats to have over the week.
We are trying to find little ways to keep us entertained and not put ourselves in harms way. We have driven down to the beach a few times. We live one mile from the beach in a tourist town so our beaches are crowded. Not as much as normal but still too crowded to be safe. So we haven’t even gotten out of the car at the beach this summer. We go in the evening and sit looking at the water for a few minutes but that is all.
Maybe next week I can show you some pictures of our deck and porch. I have spent time redecorating them for us to use as we have never really done anything with them other than put out some chairs. I think they are cute now.
Well, that is about it for today. I hope you are all still well and finding ways to have fun. What are you doing to keep yourself and your families entertained?
Fair food is unlike any other, that’s for sure. How fun! 👏🌿😋
