So, I have decided to go back to my at least once a week posts on Walt Disney World. Most of my posts are about our food adventures at Disney but I will be posting about our adventures with rides, changes at the parks and as always fun with autism.
My daughter and I loved that we had some down time during the Disney Social Media Moms Conference (#DisneySMMC2015) to explore the parks and try some of the foods that we usually don’t get a chance to get to. While at Disney Hollywood Studios we stopped at Min and Bill’s Dockside Diner to try the Macaroni and Cheese topped with Pulled Pork and the Macaroni and Cheese topped with Buffalo Chicken and Blue Cheese.
The macaroni and cheese topped with pulled pork was also topped with crispy onions and a drizzle of barbecue sauce. The barbecue sauce was sweet and delicious. The pulled pork easily came apart with the fork. The macaroni and cheese was at best average. But together with the pulled pork it was very good. We were splitting the two bowls but ended up fighting over the last bites of this dish because it was by far our favorite.
The Buffalo Chicken was hot and spicy! We ordered the blue cheese on the side because I do not like blue cheese. I think the addition of a drizzle of ranch dressing over this dish would have greatly added to the dish. It was so hot and spicy that even with the macaroni and cheese it was too spicy for us and we like spicy foods.
We ended up throwing away about 1/2 the dish because we could not get all the way through it. The macaroni and cheese as above was at best average, it tasted like Stouffer’s frozen macaroni and cheese. The chicken was flavorful and spicy. My daughter said the blue cheese did help cut the spiciness but it was still not enough for her.
Since our trip the Macaroni and Cheese topped with Buffalo Chicken has been removed from the menu, But, at $9.99 a dish this was a bit pricey but we would definitely go back for the Macaroni and Cheese topped with Pulled Pork.
