We love Cosmic Ray’s for a bit of respite be it from the heat or rain. Situated on the edge of Fantasyland and Tomorrowland in Walt Disney World it always seems we are right in that area when hunger starts to gnaw at us. With 3 “Bays” for ordering lines are usually not too long, we always seem to find a seat and the toppings bar always makes the kids day. This day we stopped to rest, regroup and review our plans for the rest of the evening.

Our son and daughter choose to split the Bacon Cheeseburger but adding mushrooms from the toppings bar made them both over the moon happy.

Of course another kid favorite, and for some grown-ups I know, is the bright yellow cheese sauce for dipping the fries or adding to burgers. Of course there are Caution! signs everywhere as the cheese is HOT coming out of the dispensers.

We wanted something different so we split the Turkey and Cheese sandwich. The bun was a bit dry but with a bit of extra mayonaise or barbecue sauce it was just fine. It was nice to have other options than the usual burger, fries and chicken.

I don’t have a picture of the desserts but they are the usual chocolate cake, carrot cake, gluten-free chocolate chip cookie or fruit options.

If you get a chance get a table in the room up front and watch the show with Sonny. It is a cute little show that has become a family tradition.
