Putting Positive Thoughts Into the World

confucius-day-2

Overall I see myself as a rather positive person. I noticed about 2 weeks ago that reading the news, watching the news on the computer and reading all the Facebook posts regarding the election were really starting to put me into a bit of a panic state. There was so much finger-pointing and the use of “they” and “them” in every article and post that it was hurting my head and my heart.

I decided rather than just retreat from it I would start to put out little positive notes into the world and start to try to do more acts of kindness for others. It could be as simple as paying for the car behind me in line at the drive through or putting a quarter into a meter that is starting to expire. Saying hello, smiling and making eye contact with people has gotten me some strange looks but I am acknowledging you as a person and a fellow human being for no other reason than you are you.peace-quoteSo, these are a few memes I have put up on Facebook to help combat some of the negativity at this time. I am encouraging anyone else who wishes to join in and post positive items on their Facebook, Twitter, or Blogs. You don’t have to do it every day but just once in a while put good thoughts out and see what returns.

I love this! I had been feeling overwhelmed and negative about all the happenings in our life lately, until I read a paragraph that said to replace I have to with I get to and it has changed my perspective. Instead of I have to do laundry, work on school etc. It’s I get to clean my home , work and be a student on top of it all. It really works. I like your positivity πŸ™‚
