Four years ago I began blogging. It was really rough the first year. We were getting married (again), moving and I was trying to figure the whole blogging thing out. My photography was horrible and my writing was sporadic. I didn’t know how to blog, network or publicize my blog. I was a mess.
But, I have learned, admittedly most of the learning curve has been in this last year. I went from 500 followers last January to almost 2,000 now. I thank each and every one of you for your help, suggestions and encouragement along the way.
The Recipe Hunter, A Fresh Brewed Faith, and The Purple Almond (click for links to the blogs) have all recently nominated me for a blogger award. Normally I don’t do these but decided since it was my bloggiversary to say thank you to them. Visit their blogs for some great recipes and inspiration.
One of the questions on their blogs was; Where do most of your views come from? Mine mostly come from either WordPress or Pinterest. Because I am mostly a food and family blogger my blog lines up naturally best with Pinterest in social media.
So in the spirit of sharing on my bloggiversary I am opening up again to sharing your social media accounts. I have found that growing my blog outside of WordPress is helpful. Below are my links:
- What’s for Dinner Moms? : Pinterest (click for link)
- What’s for Dinner Moms? : Facebook page (click for link)
- What’s for Dinner Moms? : Twitter page (click for link)
- What’s for Dinner Moms? : Instagram (click for link)
- What’s for Dinner Moms? : Google + (click for link)
Leave your social media accounts (for best response link directly to your account – if you need help doing this please ask. I have found just giving your name in the site leads to less follows) in the comments or a link you would like to share with everyone. Also, consider sharing this post on your blog with a link back to this page so your followers can share and like too. Remember the more people we share and like with the more chances someone who might not normally see your blog will!
Thank you to each and every one of you. It has been a great four years for me and I cannot wait to see where I get to go in the next year!
