What I Want for Mother’s Day

I received this Mother’s Day card from Chick-fil-A for being on Chick-fil-A Moms Panel. My kids will love the sweet treats! Yes, I said my kids. I know I do this all the time and I am sure many of you do too. I think of my kids first then I am somewhere down the list. Usually, just above the cat.

But, this made me think, “What do I want for Mother’s Day this year?” Being as money is a bit tight I do not want to go out to eat. Also, I really hate crowds and going out seems so overwhelming and difficult on holidays. There is nothing I really need. Wait, back that up. There is something I want and need, a clean house!

Yes, I asked for my family to clean on Sunday. A good Spring Cleaning is needed. We have been so busy that things are getting out-of-place. Do you need silverware? Of course you look in the dishwasher and not the silverware drawer because no one has had the time to empty the dishwasher. I have three HUGE bins of clean clothes (half of which are winter clothes – Yes, it is May 11th and they are STILL needed. But, that is another whole post.) that have been sitting at the end of my bed for the past three weeks.  I want to wash windows and baseboards, dust fans, and reorganize cupboards. I know that is more than we can do in a day but a girl can dream can’t she?

So, what are your Mother’s Day plans?

  1. We celebrated Mother’s Day last week with a quick getaway to Lake Chelan. It was wonderful! I hope this weekend on Sunday I get to sleep in, and it would be a bonus if my husband cleaned the garage 🙂

What a lovely gift ❤️ I wanted to spend the day digging up the grass with a lot of help, but I was afraid to ask. Congrats on your bravery.

Lol. It didn’t go exactly as planned but still got quite a bit done. My motto is it can’t hurt to ask!
