Today is a big day for my blog. Today I will surpass the total number of views, likes, and visitors from 2016. Thank you to each and every one of you who stopped by, liked and commented on my blog. It truly means so much to me!
I know as bloggers we try to be a bit blase’ about our statistics. We write, cook, take pictures, or yell into space because it fulfills something in us. No matter how much we say it is not for the numbers it does matter because it validates that someone is hearing us whether they agree with our opinions, like our pictures, or not.
My goal for this year was to surpass last year by at least 1 in each category of the statistics. I never thought I would reach my goal this soon.

Congratulations!! 🙂 Since blogging is a hobby for me, (although I suspect some people around me would call it a disease :P) I too try not to give too much importance to my stats, but any blogger would be a liar, saying readings, likes and comments don’t matter at all!
I’m really glad that you did better this year… And all the best for 2018!! (ok, I am a bit in advance, but it is your fault, hitting the milestone this early :P)

Thank you so much! I agree if numbers and some sort of validation didn’t matter I could put this all in word in my computer and never send it out into the universe. I think that would be sad because I look forward to what so many are writing and doing!

I officially opened my blog 2 years ago (just got WP’s mention yesterday) but I started “really” writing in late November, early December…
I was sooo lost… It took me a while too, to even know what I was doing here! LOL

That’s why I focus on completing my World map, instead of caring about “good” and “bad” days 🙂 I must admit, I had not thought about doing better than the year before, like you do… I think it is a cool goal, too!
