I hope you all had a wonderful day yesterday and have lots of great leftovers for today! I repost this dish every year the day after Thanksiving as it is our favorite leftover dish, next to turkey soup!
Have extra stuffing, potatoes, turkey, and cranberry sauce? Trisha Yearwood’s Creamy Turkey Casserole (click for link to original post) is a perfect dish to use some of it up!
As immigrants ( in the 90’s ) , we did everything the American way, including having turkey on Thanksgiving Day. But then, each one of us would only eat a small slice of the turkey, the leftover was always thrown away 3 days after. We had turkey 4 years in a row….after that, we gave up. Now, we have ham instead, always marinated in brown sugar and pineapple juice, and nothing is left after 3 days. Leftover ham is used for ham sandwich, fried rice, and soups. ( especially the ham bone. )

Love ham! That is our Easter go to. Ham Croquettes, ham and scalloped potatoes! Yummy! Great to do what your family loves.

I live in Pakistan and I don’t know what this Thanksgiving is all about except the fact there is a holiday in US. But still I loved your posts. Amazing recipes👌

Thank you! I think if you asked most people in the US they would not know the answer to what is Thanksgiving other than to eat a lot of food and to be great full for what life has bestowed upon us.
