We have been doing some fun things to make staying home, which we have been doing since March 12th, seem special. One of these was to make a little hot cocoa bar. We made homemade hot cocoa with whole milk, unsweetened cocoa powder, sugar, and vanilla extract and then all the toppings and stir-ins we could find in our cupboards.
Our bar this time was simple but the family loved the chance to put in whatever they wanted. I found some peppermint Kisses and regular Kisses in the cupboard. Candy canes, mini marshmallows, large Lucky Charm marshmallows, whipped cream, and some little Christmas cakes. You can add whatever you have on hand to your bar – dark chocolate bars cut up, large marshmallows, flavored marshmallows, or other flavorings.
Be creative and have fun!
Yummy! I never thought to do this! But now I’m gonna try it!

Thank you! I love that we never make them quite the same way twice.

Hot cocoa is such a comfort at this time of year – I must say. I was very distracted by your beautiful nails.

Lol! Thank you! I have started wearing the nail strips since Covid began in March. My daughter and I do them together for something fun. I change them every 10 -14 days and they make me feel good to look at them during all this bleakness of sickness, politics, and icky weather. Thanks again!
