Some Days are Like This

Yes, it is cereal, milk, and bananas. Honey Nut Cheerios to be exact. We hit the wall. The almost year anniversary, ten more days, of the Covid-19 shutdowns are hitting my family hard. Though it is becoming the new normal for us there are still days that my kids struggle and we all are tired. This is one such night.

Some nights are like this and we were all okay with cereal. It was simple, filling, and felt almost child-like. It was the perfect meal to make us feel a little bit better.

  1. Years ago my father-in-law worked for General Mills. He said on their afternoon break they were served Cheerios with butter and salt. They ate it like popcorn! 🍿

I’ve been there, eating cereal for dinner. We have to keep our hopes up that things are going in a better direction. Even with the vaccines available that just a step forward and it won’t lift the dark cloud completely but we’re getting there. You and your family are in my prayers, Marci 🙏🏽❤️

It’s has been hard on everyone here too … I forgot to pull meat out and said forget it is breakfast for dinner tonight. We all did the Disney plus and chill thing with our cereal. Cannot believe it’s been a year already.

It seems so impossible it has been a year already and yet this has seemed like the longest year ever in the same moment!
