Checking In: Day 371

Week 53:

So after 10 days after my first shot I got Covid arm. I got a big red bump that is about 2″-3″ in diameter. It is hot and itchy. After calling my doctor we are thinking all my health problems over the past two weeks are linked back to the shot. I am glad I got the shot and will get the second one but my immune system is NOT happy with me at all. My doctor said at least we know my body is responding as it supposed to but having issues with inflammation to begin with is causing the reaction. Anyone else have any of the reactions?

We received notification that my son is a National Merit Scholarship Finalist. Basically his scores on his SAT tests qualify him as one of the top 15,000 high school seniors in the United States on this test. We are really happy for him.

Next week we are headed to visit my parents. I am excited. My kids are excited. We will be there for Easter and are keenly aware of the significance of visiting for the first time in over a year during this time. My mom said rather than plan an Easter dinner we will just go shopping. Sounds like fun. I could easily enjoy a simple meal on Easter rather than a whole to-do.

I wish all who may be celebrating Easter and or traveling over this Spring break time a wonderful time. May you and your family stay healthy and have a wonderfully relaxing time!

I can imagine how excited everybody is regarding the easter plans.
The reactions to the vaccines are so different and a reaction is actually a good sign that shows that the body responds. But I understand that you are concerned regarding your basic condition. Wishing you a quick relief, Marci.

  3. I imagine it’s like the big angry red bump some people get, my kids included after getting the Tdap vaccine. My grandson’s bump was huge and lasted for days.

I hope yours goes away fast and you have no other issues related to the vaccine.

    Congratulations to your son!!

Congratulations to your son also. Got Pfizer #2 this morning. Feeling tired, a little flushed, staying in bed for the day. Will not go to 530 Mass
