in a way that shows determination or resolve.“Rachael takes the lead, striding purposefully towards the door”
-
with a useful purpose.“how is it possible to share information effectively and purposefully with project partners?”
I chose Purposefully for my word of the year. This word was to guide all my decisions and thoughts. How have I been doing?
Well, okay I think. I could be doing better. The one area that I haven’t been living purposefully is my social media. I made goals for myself at the beginning of the year. I didn’t write them down nor did I talk about them. That has me unfocused in what I want to achieve and I am not purposefully using my time to its advantage concerning my blog. So, I have decided to change that.
My social media goals for the rest of 2017 are:
- Increase my blog followers to 3,000
- Continue to post at least 6 days per week when possible
- Increase my Twitter followers to 7,500
- Actively seek new people to follow on Twitter each day
- Increase my Instagram account to 2,500
- Post twice daily on Instagram. Morning blog, food pictures and evening Disney pictures.
- Continue to post daily to Pinterest
- Begin at least 2 times per month posting videos to my Youtube channel. (EEK! – This is my reach goal.)
Have you written down your blogging goals or other goals that you are trying to reach this year? How is your progress?
Good luck!!

Lol! I am trying to streamline the time I spend on line and make the best use of the time I have. I have been foundering around for the past 4 months or so spending far too much time online and not working towards the goals that were in my head. Now is the time to focus.

I came to the same conclusion. There is a real life out there and it was complaining. 🙂

Every time someone reads one of my blog posts, I am tickled to death.

Me too! I cannot believe that people really want to read what I write. I love seeing the responses and replying to them because I know that they are real people who are blogging just like me.

A great list of goals, Marci. I don’t really have any goals like this. I just muddle through and hope for the best. I did learn how to insert widgets today which I am quite pleased with myself about.

It took me about 2 years to figure it all out how to set up my site like I like it and now I want to change it! Lol!

Well done! Blog-wise I want to start monetizing, but personally I have a considerable amount of weight to lose and am going the right way, but it’ll probably take me into next year’s goals too. Good luck everyone with your goals x

Thank you! I think about that too but mine is more fear of having to maintain and run the website. Not a tech genius at all and afraid I’d royally screw up.

Setting goals is a nice thing to do. This way, you can analyze your progress, make conclusions and improve you work. I haven’t set any blogging goals yet but, now, I feel like I should have. Good luck in reaching your goals!

I am just starting out blogging so reading your goals is a great reminder of where I can shoot for. I was also wondering if you would consider a guest post to help a food blogger just starting out. (P.s. thanks for liking my dilly bread recipe)

Of course. If you like I would also repost one of yours onto my blog with a link and credit to you. Just let me know what you would like. This is what it is all about, helping each other!
