Make Your Own Sundae Bar

Hi All! I have a favor to ask of you. Could you please share my blog post or any of my blog posts?  I normally do not focus on follower counts or likes but I noticed I am 20 followers away from 4,000. I would love to see my little blog over that. Leave me a post of yours in the comments and I will be happy to share yours too! Let’s help build each other up.

So, there is a story behind this post (as always!). When I go out of town my wife gives the kids lots of treats which I normally don’t. She posts pictures of ice cream, cake, and cookies with the kids. Well, she went out of town for a few days and I decided to up the game. I made the above sundae bar for the kids for dinner. They did not believe me that this was their dinner. They were excited but thought I had lost my mind. My son asked me, “Really, what is for dinner?”

It had lots of candy – chocolate, gummies, sprinkles. Several kinds of ice cream and of course toppings! Cutting candy up in small pieces works much better than serving them whole as with the cookies too but they looked nice for the picture.

When my son was done with his sundae he asked where the real food was. I told him this was it. He made himself a salad and a quesadilla because he had to have something real to eat for dinner.  By the way that is his sundae in the picture below. He would have been fine.

I have done this type of dinner before.. sometimes you have to go off the routine and surprise yourself. Funny when he ask you what’s for dinner for real 😀
