5 Comforting Casseroles for Family Dinners

In our house we are searching for comfort foods lately. I notice that everyone here wants casseroles, homemade cakes, and pies. We spent the other night roasting pie pumpkins and planning dinners for the coming weeks. Everything that was put out was in some way a comfort food for one of the family. Chicken noodle soup casserole, bar food appetizers, and even meatloaf are all comfort foods here. These 5 dishes are some of our favorite comfort food casseroles from the past that we are going to be making again soon!

Buffalo Chicken Wing Casserole (click for link to recipe)

This dish still makes it into our dinner rotation every once in awhile. We love the flavor of the Buffalo Chicken with the crunch of the cereal on top. The french fries add that texture of loaded potatoes to the dish too. I am thinking we may be remaking this again really soon!

Chicken, Green Bean, and Stuffing Casserole (click for link to recipe)

All the delicious parts of a Thanksgiving meal in one comforting dish! Super easy to make and feels like you are being wrapped in a giant hug. It can be made without canned cream soup if you wish but it does make the dish super easy to make if you have some on hand.

Cowboy Meatloaf with Mashed Potato Casserole (click for link to recipe)

Barbecue meatloaf topped with cheesy, garlicy mashed potatoes? Yum! This dish is one of our favorites. The flavors go well together and take the meatloaf to a whole new level. Like barbecue sauce and garlic mashed potatoes? Give this a try!

Chocolate Croissant Casserole (click for link to recipe)

This breakfast casserole is so rich and delicious it could be a dessert! Use the packaged croissants, premade, not the roll of dough in a can to make this luxurious rich breakfast casserole. You can make it ahead of time and have it ready to go in the oven before your brunch or dinner.

Grown-Up Tuna Casserole (click for link to recipe)

The minute I saw this dish I thought we NEED to make this again soon! Another comforting casserole that brings back memories of childhood but better tasting. My family was iffy when I said Tuna Noodle Casserole and then once they started eating every one said they forgot how much they really like Tuna Noodle Casserole. It’s a hit!
